What is the
Abilities Challenge?
The Abilities
Challenge is an event which aims to raise awareness about disability in the
community and funds for the organization (C-SASIL). The event will feature a wheelchair race where
teams compete against each other to gain a better understanding of issues that
people living with disabilities face in their daily lives.
Who can get
involve?
People of all
ages and abilities can participate in this event by registering or sponsoring a
team for wheelchair race, volunteering, donating funds and gifts for raffles to
help make a difference in the lives of people living with disabilities. It is a
great learning experience for you and your kids, family, friends and
co-workers.
They can get their community hours by volunteering or participating in this event. Talk to your teachers, friends and classmates about getting involved in the Abilities Challenge event
Great Opportunity for Businesses
We would like to invite you to become our 4th
Annual Abilities Challenge Event Sponsor. The event is taking place on Saturday
May 31, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Brampton Soccer Centre located at 1495 Sandalwood Parkway, Brampton.
The event registration is from 9:00 A.M.
to 10:00 A.M. and the Abilities Challenge event will start at 10:00 A.M.
With the support of sponsors like you C-SASL is able to
support South Asian persons with disabilities to better transition into the
community by supporting them in accessing education, resources and employment
opportunities to improve their quality of life and support independent living
while navigating their cultural values.
